I know at least a few homebrewers follow the blog. If you like to enter competitions then the one for you is the E.T. Barnette Homebrew Competition in Fox, Alaska on July 18, 2015. Why you ask? The Best-Of-Show Grand Prize is $500! The entry fee is only $5, but the catch is how difficult it will be to get your three bottles to the judges. One day I swear I will go judge at that competition, but it seems close to the middle of nowhere when in reality it is a few miles out of Fairbanks. I entered this once and got more swag for the effort than the entry and shipping fees cost. It’s a great comp and one of the best kept secrets of homebrewing competitions.
